&lt;span class=&quot;caption&quot;&gt;2023 was the year in which I made the most paintings yet, I was inspired by the idea of a tree of life and the allergy of Babel. Based off that, I implemented my own experiences around winter time, reflecting on the role of the feminine in my life, meditating on the role of each that led me to the present. I used careful shading to create the effect of frost and depth.  Klimt and the Art Deco style inspires me and with this piece I experimented with taking that style further and begin to develop may own language through layers of shading and geometric application of forms, &lt;br /&gt;

I portrayed the view from the airbnb in which me my friends and my dog stayed in, contemplating this with the idea of spatial memories and reveries via G.Bachelard. the guitar is a symbol of play for me, beside painting, it is an activity that I like to partake in. The middle of the composition is a section of Hong Kong, it reminded me of loneliness as the interior and exterior of the space was segregated distinctly similar to that of a class segregation. The butterfly clock with sun and moon is a symbol of my constant fascination with time and memory. &lt;br /&gt;

Whilst creating this piece, I was intrigued by the notion of psychogeography, it got me thinking that locations and places actually are alive and are filled with emotions and feelings, of the events that has happened there, a flow of life energy persists, transferred to the location by the people who had visited and passed by. In this scene, is the juxtaposition of a tube station and the riverside beside my university, the latter, a quite place to contemplate in, and the former, a busy intersection of life and activities, share the same substance of liminality.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;

One of my earliest paintings, was inspired  part of my fascination with light and shadows. I am particularly inspired by the interconnectivity and the aspect of necessity involved within the two. Light must exists for the shadow to spawn, and shadow would not exist if not for light. Much like the relationships between people, most of us are dependent on another living being in someway. And that set of relationship can be seen in the way forms I create in this painting, one form consists of many, they are distinct yet dependent on each other, forming a complete whole only when composited together. &lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
我的早期画作之一，灵感来源于我对光与影的迷恋。我特别被其中的相互连通性和必然性所吸引。光的存在是为了产生阴影，如果没有光，阴影也就不存在。这与人与人之间的关系非常相似，我们大多数人在某种程度上都依赖于其他生命。这种关系在我这幅画中所创造的形式中得以体现，一个形态包含了许多部分，它们既独立又相互依赖，只有组合在一起时才能形成一个完整的整体。&lt;br /&gt;

This painting embodies a symbolic treatment of my reflections on the progression of time, technology, humanity, and their interconnectedness with nature. The composition is spatially arranged in a dreamlike manner, thereby facilitating a nuanced critique of the relationships among people, technology, and the natural world. It symbolises the arrival and departure, the here and the beyond, the past and the present. The vessel of hope, seemingly unable to contain all life, anchors its aspirations to the illusory crescent moon.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
This painting embodies a symbolic treatment of my reflections on the progression of time, technology, humanity, and their interconnectedness with nature. The composition is spatially arranged in a dreamlike manner, thereby facilitating a nuanced critique of the relationships among people, technology, and the natural world. It symbolises the arrival and departure, the here and the beyond, the past and the present. The vessel of hope, seemingly unable to contain all life, anchors its aspirations to the illusory crescent moon.&lt;br /&gt;

Stakehouse is a repositioning and transformation of the intimate space which is the diner. It is produced in a dreamlike manner, using selective aquatic tones to represent an uncanny dream. I was also influenced by G.Batailles remarks on a society of consumption and loss. I observed that, to eat, interestingly, is to conserve and expend in the same time. On one hand, we are nurtured by the food, but, lives are lost, (animal, Plantae)  the painting is a  dream scene with wild species being served on a rotating sushi belt. It is a comment on choices and decisions. Will you take what’s offered or not? Are you willing to bare the consequences of overt consumption? &lt;br /&gt;

《抉擇之wu zi》是對親密空間——即餐館的重新定位和轉變。作品以夢幻般的方式創作，選用特定的水生色調來呈現一場詭異的夢境。我同時受到喬治·巴塔伊關於消耗與損失社會的評論的影響。有趣的是，我觀察到進食既是保存也是消耗的行為。一方面，我們通過食物獲得滋養，但另一方面，生命被奪走（動物、植物）。畫作呈現了一個夢境場景，野生物種在旋轉壽司帶上被供應，這是對選擇和決策的評論。你會接受所提供的還是拒絕？你願意承擔過度消耗的後果嗎？&lt;br /&gt;
